Precautions

LightSheer Laser Hair Removal is a safe and revolutionary way to treat outstanding hair issues. In order to experience the maximum enjoyment and effects from this treatment, the following steps must be taken by the patient before receiving laser hair removal treatment.

Pre-treatment patient instructions

– Do not pluck, wax, use a depilatory or undergo electrolysis in the areas you wish to have treated for 6 weeks prior to laser hair removal
– Do not tan the areas to be treated for 3 weeks prior to treatment
– Avoid using self-tanning products for 2 weeks prior to treatment

After Treatment Precautions

– Avoid direct exposure to the sun, tanning beds or tanning creams for 8 days before and after treatment
– A new spot test will need to be performed if sun exposure has occurred less than 8 days between treatments.
– Do not rub, scratch or pick at the treated area. Treat the area gently. Pat skin dry after bathing or showering.
– Do not apply makeup over the treated until redness dissipates. Shaving should not be done until all redness is gone.

Protective Equipment

– During treatment, all patients are given opaque goggles to protect against the glare of the laser anode.
